Specialists of the units of radiation, chemical and biological protection (RHBZ) of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, who arrived in the Republic of Abkhazia to help prevent the spread of coronavirus infection, continue to disinfect objects of the republic’s social infrastructure.
Today, after completing a 50-kilometer march from Gudauta to Sukhum, the military personnel of the combined RCB unit for the protection of the Black Sea Fleet (Black Sea Fleet) took measures to disinfect the city’s social facilities, the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Abkhazia. In total, about 20 buildings with a total area of more than 32 thousand square meters and the adjacent territory, as well as road surfaces with a total area of more than 20 thousand square meters, were processed during the day.
A column of 11 special vehicles of the Black Sea Fleet protection of the Black Sea Fleet marched from the Crimean Peninsula to the Republic of Abkhazia. During the movement, the convoy covered more than 800 kilometers.
The consolidated detachment includes about 30 servicemen of the Black Sea Fleet RCBZ unit. Before the start of the movement on October 17 this year. the personnel carried out a technical inspection of equipment, medical equipment and protective equipment, all servicemen were examined.
In the shortest possible time, subdivisions of the Black Sea Fleet RKhBZ deployed a temporary vehicle fleet and points for special processing of equipment involved in disinfection. Then, together with medical specialists of the Republic of Abkhazia, they assessed the volume of work to be done and began to carry out disinfection measures.
Earlier in April of this year, the combined detachment of the RChBZ Black Sea Fleet already took part in disinfection in the territory of the Republic of Abkhazia.
