The Prosecutor’s Office of the city of Ukhta in the Komi Republic conducted an audit of the implementation of the legislation governing the payment of executed government contracts.

It was established that Ukhta State Technical University in January 2020 signed a state contract with a commercial organization for the maintenance of automatic fire alarm systems. Despite the completion of the entire scope of work by the contractor, the university did not pay for the services provided within the time period established by the contract. As a result, a debt of about 800 thousand rubles was formed.

The prosecutor’s office of Ukhta opened a case against the rector of the university for an administrative offense under Part 1 of Art. 7.32.5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (violation of the term and procedure for payment when making purchases to meet state and municipal needs), based on the results of the consideration of which the rector was brought to justice and he was sentenced to a fine.

As a result of the prosecutor’s intervention, the university fully paid off the outstanding debt under the state contract.
