Headline: Federal Council approves fisheries ordinance in the area of ​​endangered fish and crabs

Fish and crabs are among the most endangered animal species in Switzerland. At its meeting on October 21, 2020, the Federal Council passed the amendment to the ordinance to the federal law on fisheries. 25 native species of fish and crabs are given a new endangered status. The populations of ten species have declined and their endangerment has increased. The cantons are called upon to better protect these species. In addition, the Federal Council approved the flat moor and dry meadow inventories of the Canton of Graubünden in the same package of ordinances.
