In the combined arms army of the Eastern Military District, stationed on the territory of the Amur region, a training session was held to counteract sabotage and reconnaissance groups (DRG) of a conditional enemy. In order to search for and neutralize the conditional saboteurs, modern electronic warfare and unmanned aircraft were used.

According to the concept of the exercise, several “enemy” DRGs have the task of disabling the communications center. To search for saboteurs to help scouts and security units, unmanned aerial vehicles “Tachyon” were used, which conducted reconnaissance using optical and thermal imaging cameras. Detection through the thermal imager was facilitated by the steady cold weather. In addition, the electronic warfare stations of the Borisoglebsk-2 complex were used, which made it possible to continuously monitor the activity of communication facilities at the required distance.

The set of measures taken made it possible to quickly detect sabotage groups and neutralize them. The new method of an integrated approach to protection against saboteurs helped to reduce search time and significantly increased the protection of command posts and other critical facilities.

The training was carried out as part of the verification of the troops following the results of the summer training period. The training was attended by about 600 servicemen at training grounds in the Amur Region, the Jewish Autonomy and the Khabarovsk Territory.
