Inspection employees are actively involved in blood donation, and 7 people are regular blood donors. Among them there is 1 honorary donor of Russia, as well as 1 bone marrow donor.

In the criminal-executive inspection of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Komi Republic, donation is actively developing. Today, 7 employees of the IDI are permanent donors who can be called at any time of the day if there is an urgent need for their blood. An employee of the punishment enforcement department of the inspection Dmitry Mikulich, in addition to regularly visiting the Komi Republican blood transfusion station, entered the register of bone marrow donors. Perhaps this act will one day save someone’s life.

– I donate blood on a regular basis, because according to statistics, every third inhabitant of the Earth needs a blood transfusion once in a lifetime. In Russia, about 1.5 million people need blood transfusions every year. 1 dose of donated blood can help 3 adults or 5-6 children.

As Dmitry Mikulich noted, young employees take a positive example from their senior colleagues. Deputy Head of the Criminal Executive Inspectorate Sergei Vasilevsky has already become the owner of the badge “Honorary Donor of Russia”, which is awarded to citizens who donated blood 40 or more or blood plasma 60 or more times.

– Residents of megalopolises rarely think about their state of health, but it directly depends not only on factors monitored by humans, such as soil and air pollution, the amount of stress and the presence of hereditary diseases, but also on unforeseen circumstances, which everyone can become hostage. Today, the citizens of our country are gradually realizing the importance of supporting the donation movement, but the blood supply program still needs volunteers, because out of a thousand Russians, only 14 people are ready to help. We not only try to help those in need of blood, but also promote donation and a healthy lifestyle, since only a healthy person can be a donor, – said Sergei Vasilevsky.
