Xirelijiang and Heng Yifeng combined for 35 points, helping the Nanjing Monkey Kings beat the Tianjin Pioneers 92-83 in the 2020-21 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) on Wednesday.
Nanjing’s sixth man, Heng Yifeng scored a team-high 18 points, and grabbed seven rebounds, to become the match-decider.
Xirelijiang, who joined Nanjing Monkey Kings this season from Xinjiang, contributed 17 points, six assists, four rebounds and two steals. Nanjing had another two players in double digits. Guo Yifei and Qiao Wenhan both got 13 points.
As for Tianjin, Lin Tingqian scored a game-high 21 points, five steals plus five assists and Shi Deshuai, who played well in the last game, contributed 20 points and six rebounds. Meng Zikai added 12 points for Tianjin.
Nanjing will take on the Shandong Heroes here on Friday, while Tianjin is scheduled to play against Qingdao.
