EU ministers decided to reduce overall fishing quotas by around 6% in the Baltic Sea for 2021. Certain fish stocks in the Baltic Sea are declining mainly due to overfishing, marine pollution, and climate change. Local fishermen will be impacted but will be helped by the EU financially.
