Rosena Allin-Khan MP, Labour’s Shadow Mental Health Minister, commenting on NHS England’s announcement on strengthening mental health support for staff, said:
“It is so vital that NHS staff mental health is taken seriously at this time.
“Ahead of a difficult winter, following a long and demanding year for our frontline staff, it is very welcome that NHS England are taking this step to support their staff.
“The Government refused to meet to discuss Labour’s ‘Care for Carers’ package of support for all health and care staff. The offer is still open should the Government wish to extend mental health support to all carers and support staff.”
