October 19, 2020 – Media release At the meeting on Sunday October 18, 2020, the Federal Council took several measures across Switzerland to counter the sharp increase in infections with the coronavirus. School operations in Steinhausen are not affected by the measures or the previous school regulations still apply. 07.10.2020 – Occasions Due to the current situation, the Chilbi, the Räbeliechtliumzug, the Christmas market and the Steinhausen carnival parade have been canceled. The school was allowed to participate and contribute to these events, which is unfortunately not possible this year.
The cancellation of the Chilbi means that classes will take place on Friday afternoon October 23, 2020 according to the timetable.
Santa Claus visits by the Chlausgesellschaft Steinhausen in kindergarten and primary classes are possible. A protection concept was specially developed for Chlaus visits to school. Participation is organized by the class teacher.
The ski camps at the primary and upper grades are offered this school year. The tender for this will take place after the autumn break. Limitations and requirements due to Covid-19 can be found in the tenders.
09/30/2020 – The letter of September 30, 2020 was sent to all parents and legal guardians of the Steinhausen School. After the autumn break, we will start with the same guidelines and principles that were valid in the current school year.
29.09.2020 – The German-speaking Swiss primary school authorities conference, in cooperation with the Federal Office of Public Health (BAG), has published guidance on school attendance by children and young people. The orientation aids and flow charts are valid in all German-speaking cantons. They differ for cycles 1/2 and cycle 3. Please note the enclosures.

Information on current and upcoming events of the Steinhausen School in accordance with the agreements of the municipal schools:
Parents evenings: Parents evenings take place in compliance with hygiene measures. If these are carried out in the classroom, parents generally wear masks, unless clearances can be maintained.
Parent visit days take place, but only with prior notification of the parents and with a mask (observe distance rules and hygiene) At the Steinhausen School we do this as follows:
Parents visit: only after registration (the class teachers will inform you how the registration can be done)
No official school attendance day on a certain date: In principle, all school days are possible (the class teacher can make restrictions due to absences or unfavorable dates)
Only parents take part in the visiting days
Frequency of visits by parents: a maximum of once a month, visits are voluntary
Parents always wear masks in the school building (bring their parents)
It is important to the Steinhausen School that, despite visits from parents, the work of the teachers and the school run without major restrictions
National Future Day (November 12th, 2020): Will probably take place. It will probably be difficult to find enough places for all students. Website: https://www.nationalerzukunftstag.ch/angebote/
Outlook for sports week and ski camp: We want to hold a sports week and ski camp as a matter of principle. By the autumn holidays 2020 we will make various clarifications for the ski camps as to which restrictions must be observed (protection concepts for accommodation, restrictions on managers, capacities, etc.)
Seniors in the classroom: Will take place again from September 2020. Seniors should decide for themselves whether they want to return to school. The same applies here: keep your distance.
Foreign language exchange: If we want to do it in principle, programs and settings may have to be adjusted so that they are COVID-19 compatible. The needs of the partner school must also be taken into account.
Meeting classes from other schools: Yes, it is possible Mutually agree on protective measures.
Website of the canton of Zug: With the letter to start school we informed the parents about quarantine measures when entering from your risk country. We ask you to observe the currently applicable federal and canton of Zug regulations. Website Canton Zug on Corona: https://www.zg.ch/behoerden/gesundheitsdirektion/amt-fuer-gesundheit/corona
Räbenliechtliumzug / Samichlaus moving in: The Steinhausen School does not organize both events itself. The implementation is being clarified.
