Today, on the International Day of the Cook, on the territory of the Neman Red Banner Missile Brigade of the Combined Arms Army of the Western Military District, stationed in the Leningrad Region, a professional skill competition was held among military personnel of the cooking specialties of the food service from the formations and military units of the association.
During the competition, servicemen competed in the preparation of food and baking bread from products approved by the servicemen’s nutritional standards according to the daily diet. The order of cooking was arbitrary: each cook independently determined the method of cooking and the type of national cuisine. In particular, the chefs prepared dishes of Georgian, Tatar, Armenian and Belarusian cuisines.
In addition, when evaluating the works, special attention was paid to their external design and product compatibility.
The competition was attended by more than 100 military personnel of the army’s logistical support units, who competed with each other not only in individual, but also in team events.
The best bakers and chefs have been awarded medals and certificates and will now defend the honor of the association at all-army level professional skill competitions.
