The new chairwoman of the board of the German Aerospace Center DLR, Professor Dr. Anke Kaysser-Pyzalla met Federal Minister of Economics Peter Altmaier in Berlin today for her inaugural visit, after taking over her new office on October 1st. This will strengthen Germany as a business location. ”With more than 9,000 employees in 54 institutes and facilities at 30 locations in Germany, DLR is one of the largest engineering research facilities in Europe. The diverse research and development work in aerospace, energy, transport, security and digitization are integrated into national and international collaborations. In addition to its own research, DLR, as the space agency, is responsible for the planning and implementation of German space activities on behalf of the federal government. In addition, the DLR acts as an umbrella organization for one of the largest project sponsors in Germany.
