The signal troops of the Central Military District (CVD) have modernized the airmobile control center of their own design, making it armored. On the eve of the Day of the military signalman, this was announced by the head of the communications troops of the Central Military District, Major General Gennady Tuchin.

“In 2020, we modernized the airmobile control center created by our specialists in 2019, which was previously located on the basis of light vans, transferring its hardware to the armored base of the Tiger multipurpose all-terrain vehicle. This complex is capable not only of providing command with secure video conferencing, mode telephony, radio communication and data transmission system, but also to protect the crew from bullets and shrapnel. In fact, a very successful pairing in two armored vehicles of a group of digital means of communication has replaced the former convoy of communication trucks equipped with analog equipment, ”said Major General Gennady Tuchin.

He added that this complex is a more secure version of the airmobile control center, also developed in the Central Military District in 2019, based on two vans with trailers.

Recall that the first practical application of the complex took place during the exercise of the signal troops, which began today at the training ground in the Samara region. The mobile station is based on two Tiger armored vehicles with two-axle trailers. The hardware of the complex is capable of providing the entire range of modern communication services for an operational group of up to 25 people.
