On October 17, 2020, the World Literacy Test “Total Dictation -2020” was held in Russia. This year, the dictation could be written as usual in the audience, observing all epidemiological safety measures, as well as online under dictation via the Internet. Cadets of the Vladimir Law Institute of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia took an active part in the action.

In the city of Vladimir, the organizers of “Total Dictation – 2020” prepared 7 sites for writing a dictation, for which participants had to first register on the project website due to the limited number of places. The cadets of the Faculty of Law of the All-Russian Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia took an active part in writing the dictation online, and the students together with the senior lecturer of the Department of Civil Law Disciplines of the Faculty of Law, Svetlana Komissarova, wrote the dictation in the traditional format on the basis of the Gorky Vladimir Regional Scientific Library.

The guys noted that they took part in such an event for the first time. Writing the dictation left them the best impressions and allowed them to test their literacy level. The text was written on a special form, and each participant will be able to see the results in the near future on the official website. This year the text of the dictation was prepared by the writer and teacher Andrei Gelasimov and is dedicated to the founder of Russian theoretical cosmonautics Konstantin Tsiolkovsky.
