Number of people at the table, physical distancing, wearing a mask, contact book, online or telephone reservations, payment at the table … Restaurants have been subject to new health measures throughout the country since October 17, 2020. This protocol was first implemented in high alert zones on October 6, 2020. Details with Service-Public.fr.

Decided in consultation with industry stakeholders, these additional restrictive measures are based on the analysis of the current epidemic situation and on the recommendations of the High Council of Public Health (HCSP). They apply in the territories concerned by prefectural decrees for a period of 15 days and will be reassessed at the end of this period.

The establishments concerned are the so-called traditional restaurants, cafeterias, self-service establishments and fast food restaurants.

There is no time restriction for the opening of these establishments.

Please note: The drinking establishments are closed. However, those offering the sale of drinks as an accessory to catering may remain open.

Respect for barrier gestures

Free space of at least 1 meter between the chairs of different tables, possibly supplemented by the installation of protective screens.
Wearing a mask covering the nose, mouth and chin for staff in the dining room, at reception and in the kitchen (general public mask in reusable fabric or for medical use meeting Afnor’s specifications).
Wearing a mask for customers until the first course is served, to be put back on their travels and between courses.
6 people maximum per table (instead of 10 so far).

Note: Downloading and activating the StopCovid application is recommended in establishments but not mandatory.

Setting up a reminder book at the entrance to restaurants which will condition access to the establishment. Customers will leave their contact details (last name, first name, phone number and email address) and the restaurant owner will make this notebook available to the Regional Health Agency or to the Health Insurance in the event that a contact case search is initiated. . In all cases, this data will be destroyed after a period of 14 days.

Organization of the movement of customers inside the restaurant and encouragement to limit their movements.
Display of the maximum reception capacity necessary to comply with the measures.
Temporary closure of changing rooms.
Provision of easily accessible hydro-alcoholic solution dispensers (at least at the entrance to the restaurant and at best on each table).
It is forbidden to consume drinks while standing inside and outside the restaurant.
Payment at the consumer table to avoid travel.
