Archival records of acts of civil status, drawn up in foreign and national languages, will be translated into Russian, and then digitized and uploaded to the Unified Federal Register of the Civil Registry Office. A little more than 1.1 billion rubles will be additionally allocated for this.

Historical records made since 1926 are being digitized as part of the creation of the Unified Federal Register of the Civil Registry Office.

In the process of translating paper archival books, it was discovered that some of the records were compiled in languages ​​other than Russian – Tatar, Arabic. They will need to be translated before digitizing. Professional translators will be involved in the work.

Full digitization of archival civil status acts must be completed no later than December 31, 2020.
