On October 17, 2020, the RChBZ units of the Army Corps of the Black Sea Fleet (BSF) moved from the point of permanent deployment to the Republic of Abkhazia.

Currently, a convoy of 11 special vehicles, including ARS-14M auto-filling stations and TMS-65U heat engines with a jet engine, is marching from the Crimean Peninsula to the Republic of Abkhazia. During the movement, the column will cover more than 800 kilometers.

The detachment includes about 30 servicemen of the Black Sea Fleet RCBZ unit. Before starting the movement, the personnel carried out a technical inspection of equipment, medical equipment and protective equipment, all servicemen were examined, no cases of COVID-19 or other diseases were detected.

Upon arrival at the site of the RKhBZ Black Sea Fleet unit, a temporary vehicle fleet and points for special processing of equipment involved in disinfection are deployed. Then, together with the medical specialists of the Republic of Abkhazia, they will assess the amount of work to be done and begin to carry out disinfection measures.

Earlier in April of this year, the combined detachment of the RChBZ Black Sea Fleet already took part in disinfection on the territory of the Republic of Abkhazia.
