The crew of the small missile ship (MRK) “Sovetsk”, while going to sea, carried out artillery fire at targets simulating air attack means of a conventional enemy.

As part of a planned combat training event, the crew conducted trainings to repel attacks by air attack means of a simulated enemy from various heights and directions with the implementation of practical artillery fire.

To ensure the firing, a Su-24 naval aviation aircraft of the Baltic Fleet was involved, which dropped special luminous targets-air bombs SAB-250 in the combat training area.

On the ship, electronic warfare devices were activated and active and passive jamming was delivered. When targets approached the line of fire, the ship’s crew carried out practical firing from the shipborne complexes AK-176MA and AK-630M, during which the aircraft of the simulated enemy was destroyed.

After firing at an air target, the MRK crew worked out the task of shooting a floating mine using a 30-mm artillery system.

In the near future, the specialists of the ship’s missile and artillery warhead will work out strikes with cruise missiles at sea and coastal targets with electronic missile launches.
