About 1,000 graduates of higher military educational institutions joined the troops of the Central Military District (CVD) in 2020. Colonel-General Alexander Lapin, commander of the Central Military District, told reporters about it.
“In 2020, about 1,000 officers-graduates of higher military educational institutions have already arrived at their new duty stations and started to perform their duties,” Colonel-General Alexander Lapin said.
He also noted that by the end of the year, the formations and military units of the 14th Army of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Central Military District will replenish more than 100 pilots, navigators and other aviation specialists.
The press service of the Central Military District clarified that in order to carry out the social and service adaptation of the officers-graduates of 2020, sent for military service in the formations and units of the Central Military District, the district command identified and appointed mentors from among the most trained officers with combat experience.
The Central Military District is deployed on the territory of three federal districts and 29 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The district structurally includes a number of foreign objects: the 201st military base on the territory of Tajikistan, the united military base in Kyrgyzstan, as well as units on the territory of Kazakhstan. The headquarters is located in Yekaterinburg.
