Press Release

WASHINGTON, DC – Reps. Doug Collins (R-Ga.) and Andy Biggs (R-Az.) today formally introduced a resolution expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that Nancy Pelosi is unable to adequately serve as Speaker of the House and should therefore be removed from her position.

“Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s unwillingness to abide by the Constitution, combined with her recent actions, call into question her own mental fitness,” said Collins. “It’s critical that the House of Representatives demand her removal from the line of succession.”

“Nancy Pelosi has politicized and tarnished the historic role of Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, and she must be removed from this position,” said Biggs. “Speaker Pelosi has used her privileged capacity to launch repeated vitriolic attacks upon the duly elected president of the United States and against fellow Members of Congress. I commend Congressman Doug Collins for introducing this important resolution, and I call on my colleagues to support our efforts to remove Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House.”

This comes as Speaker Nancy Pelosi introduced legislation last Friday to create a commission that would allow Congress to oust a president from office using the 25th Amendment, after she accused President Trump of being “in an altered state.”

Original cosponsors include Reps. Paul Gosar (R-Az.), Jody Hice (R-Ga.), Ted Budd (R-NC), and Jeff Duncan (R-SC).
