Thames Valley Police is releasing CCTV images of a man officers would like to speak to following a robbery in Barford St Michael, Oxfordshire.

At around 4.45pm on Tuesday (13/10), a man attempted to enter the Post Office on South Newton Road but was told by the victim, a woman in her eighties, that the store was closed.

He returned 10 minutes later and the victim agreed to let him in to buy a bottle of water. Once inside the store the man then stole cash from behind the tills and several packets of cigarettes. When the victim attempted to stop him he threatened to stab her and pushed past her and left the store.

The victim did not sustain any injuries during this incident.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Oliver Harrison, based at Banbury police station said: “I believe the man in these images may have vital information that could help with our investigation.

“If you recognise this man, or if you believe it could be you, please get in touch.

“Likewise if you were in the area at the time and witnessed anything or have any information we would like to hear from you.
