Medical Simulation Center (MSC) on the basis of the city clinical hospital named after S.P. Botkin turned five years old.
Recently, its specialists began to conduct field educational lectures and master classes for doctors who provide medical care to patients with coronavirus infection. The three-day training course is aimed at improving the professional knowledge of doctors. The training takes place in hospitals working with patients with COVID-19.
The medical simulation center is organized as a virtual multidisciplinary clinic. It has departments of urology, obstetrics and gynecology, neonatology, resuscitation and a center for disaster medicine, an endoscopy and ultrasound department, simulators of the Da Vinci surgical robot and laparoscopic operations, as well as a pregnant robot in childbirth, Noel, and a bleeding android robot. Caesar”. For five years of work, MSC specialists have developed and implemented over 250 educational programs in more than 50 medical areas.
The use of innovative highly realistic virtual technologies allows doctors to practice and improve their professional competencies. Today, the MSC also undergoes accreditation and assessment procedures for doctors and candidates for vacancies in the capital’s medical institutions.
On the basis of the MSC, assessment procedures are carried out for applicants for vacancies in the subordinate institutions of the city Department of Health. More than 1.5 thousand specialists have already passed them, and more than 400 people have passed certification exams in various specialties.
The Center regularly participates in Russian and international conferences, is a laureate of various awards and a multiple winner of scientific conferences.
