For the first time, the employees of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Republic of Khakassia, as part of the celebration of the Day of Turkic Written Language and Culture in cooperation with the Ministry of National and Territorial Policy of the Republic of Khakassia and the House of Writers of Khakassia, the convicts of the republic were given the opportunity to participate in the republican creative competition “My native language”, held among the population of Khakassia.
In total, out of 34 prizes in the Competition, 6 convicts from correctional institutions of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Republic of Khakassia, as well as the head of the department for educational work with convicts of PKU IK-35, Major of the Internal Service, Denis Gataullin, became winners and prize-winners. The competition was held in three nominations (poetry, prose, journalism), in three age groups in the Khakass and Russian languages.
Two first places in the nominations for poetry and journalism, two second and two third places in the nominations for prose and journalism – this is the result of participation in the competition for convicts. The participants of the competition in their works revealed not only their creative potential, but also their attitude to the history of their small homeland, to language and culture. In the lines written by them there is a place for love, memory and desire to become better, to change your inner world. Participation in such competitions contributes to the spiritual rethinking of reality by convicts, a change in their attitude to the surrounding reality, society and its values and norms. The winners and prize-winners in a solemn atmosphere were awarded diplomas and valuable gifts (books) by the House of Writers of Khakassia.
Major of the Internal Service Denis Gataullin, who presented his poetic work “Old Man” (2nd place in the age group from 21 to 35 years old) for participation in the nomination “poetry in Russian”, explained his attitude to this competition: “Introducing convicts to literary creativity , I decided to show by my example that there are hidden talents in each of us. But the opportunity to reveal them in time, to get a meaningful assessment, which will become the starting point for the development of your creativity, help such contests. I am very happy for all the convicts, whose work was so highly noted by the jury. Recognition as winners, prize-winners, as well as the presentation of diplomas and prizes in a solemn atmosphere in front of other convicts is a good stimulating factor in educational work. “
