Vatican City – “The Pontifical Mission Societies are entirely dependent on God’s Providence, through the free offerings of the faithful. We help the life of the local Churches of mission territories, dependent on the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, because they are communities that are growing, young Churches that must develop and need help in all areas: ecclesial structures, parishes, pastoral centers, schools, teaching staff, catechists”. This is what Fr. Tadeusz J. Nowak, OMI, Secretary General of the Pontifical Society for the Propagation of the Faith, one of the four Pontifical Mission Societies, says to Agenzia Fides, in view of World Mission Day which will be celebrated on Sunday, October 18.
