In the Primorsky Territory, when flying a helicopter squadron of army aviation of the Eastern Military District, tactical flight tasks were carried out to reconnaissance and suppress air defense systems of a simulated enemy.

Thus, the crews of the Ka-52 Alligator attack helicopters made single flights using the so-called “free hunt” method. They worked out actions to search, classify and destroy camouflaged ground air defense systems of the imaginary enemy.

At a specialized training ground, the Ka-52 struck with unguided aircraft missiles at targets imitating the air defense systems of a conventional enemy. The flights were made both during the day and at night.

The crews of the Ka-52 helicopters worked out the elements of complex aerobatics and maneuvering, combining them with the techniques of conducting air combat in the event of a sudden appearance of an air “enemy”.
