“Education this year faced serious problems – it is forced additional vacations, distance learning and so on, nevertheless, we do not stop building new school buildings. They will, of course, be in demand. In recent years, we have built about 400 buildings of educational facilities – these are schools, preschool institutions, ”said the Moscow Mayor.

According to him, the new school is the second one recently built in the Solntsevo area. The plans include three more buildings of educational institutions.

Construction of the building began in December last year and should be completed by the end of 2020. The main work has been completed, engineering networks are being installed (heating system, sewerage, drainage) and interior decoration of the premises.

The area of ​​the educational building will be 5.5 thousand square meters. It will be able to study 300 students. The building will create a comfortable and safe learning environment for high school students. Including will implement programs of pre-profile education.

“This school is relatively small – for 300 seats, but it is unique in its own way: there is a media library, and experimental classes related to robotics, 3D design, there are even rooms for scientific seminars, selectors, and so on. The school itself was built according to a unique project, ”said Sergei Sobyanin.

The school is equipped with classrooms for a foreign language, information and computing technologies, biology, chemistry and physics. In addition, it will accommodate:

– an astronomy class – with a telescope, globes, maps of the starry sky and other necessary equipment for the fascinating teaching of this ancient science;

– Experimental laboratory “Class of the future”, intended for the study of robotics (design and testing of robots) and 3D modeling;

– scientific theater – for lectures, seminars, presentations and conferences. The room is equipped with TVs, interactive panels and a conference system.

Physical education classes will be held in a sports hall measuring 15 meters by 24 meters. Changing rooms, showers, toilets and a storage room will be equipped here.

The school will also have an assembly hall with two artistic rooms and storage rooms, a photo studio, a library and a media library, a chess club room, a dining room for 150 seats, psychologist and speech therapist offices.

The building will be fully adapted for teaching children with disabilities.

A sports core will be created in the schoolyard, small architectural forms for recreation and children’s outdoor games will be installed. Specialists will lay out lawns and flower beds, plant trees and shrubs.

Construction is carried out at the expense of the city budget as part of the city’s Targeted Investment Program. The new building will accept the first students in 2021.

According to the general director of the construction company Ruslan Nezhnov, work at the facility is planned to be completed in November, the building will be commissioned in December, and lessons may begin here in January.


Large educational complex

School No. 1002 was founded in 1966. Today it is a large educational complex, which includes three school buildings, three buildings for preschoolers, and a building for additional education. Sergei Sobyanin noted that the new building will help redistribute the workload in the educational complex.

According to the Deputy Director of School No. 1002 Anna Buleeva, the building on Solntsevsky Prospect will make it possible to implement the High School School project. “We are planning to transfer children of the ninth, tenth, 11th grades here. Accordingly, unload our main buildings. And the guys will be able to embody their ideas, get acquainted with their future professions, acquire the necessary knowledge, ”she added.

3518 children study at the school, including 903 preschoolers and 2615 schoolchildren. Of these, 63 people are with disabilities.

Senior students can choose to study in technological, humanitarian, socio-economic, natural sciences. The city educational projects “Mathematical Vertical”, “Moscow Electronic School”, “IT Polygon”, “Vocational Training Without Borders” and “Engineering Class in the Moscow School” are being implemented.

Three parallel cadet classes of school No. 1002 took first places in the city competition “Best Cadet Class” in the 2019/2020 academic year.

Work is underway to include the educational institution in the project “Medical class in a Moscow school” – the curriculum is being tested, agreements on cooperation are being concluded with medical universities.

In the system of additional education of the school, 255 circles and sections work, in which 2880 children are engaged.

The school cooperates with several higher educational institutions, including the Moscow Institute of Radio Engineering, Electronics and Automation (MIREA) – Russian Technological University, Russian State Social University, Russian National Research Medical University named after N.I. Pirogov and Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia.

In the 2019/2020 academic year, school number 1002 graduated 119 eleventh graders. 11 of them were awarded medals of the Moscow Government “For special achievements in education”. 91 percent of graduates continued their education in secondary and higher educational institutions in accordance with the profile of the school.

17 students became winners and prize-winners of the regional stage of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren, five people became prize-winners of the Moscow Olympiad for schoolchildren.

At the end of the 2019/2020 academic year, school No. 1002 was included in the number of educational institutions that received a grant from the Mayor of Moscow “For creating an educational environment for students, providing opportunities for their socialization and creative development.”

Since 2011, 393 educational buildings have been built in Moscow, including 288 kindergartens and 105 schools. 253 objects were built at the expense of the city budget, 140 – at the expense of investors.
