The building of the Northern River Station is an architectural monument of regional significance and one of the recognizable symbols of Moscow. Its restoration has become one of the largest urban projects over the last decade.
You can relax at the station at any time of the year. There is an observation deck on the roof with a panoramic view of the Khimki reservoir. Also available are the historic waiting room and the regularly updated exhibition of the Moscow Transport Museum. For relaxation, benches and original pebble-shaped seats are installed on the embankment. An amphitheater for 100 people has been created for cultural events. At the same time, 2.5 thousand people can walk along the embankment with a length of about 1.4 kilometers. The main children’s attraction on the embankment was a small copy of the Moscow Canal. This is a stream with floodgates and lights, along which boats can be launched.
