The prosecutor’s office of the city of Chernogorsk in the Republic of Khakassia carried out an inquiry upon the appeal of the mother of a disabled child about the violation of his rights to receive medications.

It has been established that the child suffers from a progressive rare (orphan) disease, for health reasons he needs to take the drug on an ongoing basis. However, for a long period, the purchase of the drug was not carried out.

The prosecutor applied to the court with a statement of claim.

By a court decision, the prosecutor’s demands were satisfied, and the regional ministry of health was charged with organizing free provision of a drug for a disabled child on an ongoing basis.

Currently, the child is provided with the drug until the end of 2020. The receipt of the drug for minors is then under the control of the city prosecutor’s office.
