Medical products and devices that are created on the territory of the capital’s technoparks are significant in the field of healthcare and are in demand in leading Russian clinics.

Residents of the capital’s technoparks have created two more innovative medical developments that will help diagnose diseases at an early stage and effectively treat patients. The specialists presented a membrane for the restoration of cartilage tissue in the joints and a high-tech blood analyzer.

In total, 73 resident companies operate in 15 technoparks of the city, which specialize in medical and pharmaceutical developments. Their solutions are significant in the field of healthcare and are in demand in leading clinics and hospitals in Russia. Many of the products manufactured by the company have no analogues in our country.

Thus, a resident of the Mosgormash Technopark has produced membranes for the regeneration of cartilage tissue in the joints. They help accelerate cell regeneration. The surgeon implants the plate: the doctor fixes the product on the surface of the damaged joint with special glue or suture material. It is a bioresorbable (or biocompatible) membrane, that is, as it dissolves, it is replaced by body tissue. The bioresorption process takes about two months, while the plate does not release toxic substances into the patient’s body.

An innovative medicine can be used to repair joint injuries that are commonly caused by injuries to the arms and legs. The membrane will not only speed up the patient’s recovery process, but also avoid joint replacement.

The development has no analogues in Russia. Membranes with similar properties were produced in Germany and Switzerland. The advantage of the Russian development is that it is synthesized from collagen nanofibers, while other products are made from materials of animal origin. Domestic membranes are more flexible and efficient. In addition, the plates are double-sided, they are more convenient to use during the operation. If necessary, doctors can order products of a certain size.

A resident of the Strogino Technopark presented a high-tech portable blood analyzer Lazma PF. Unlike its Japanese counterpart, this device is more compact and convenient to use: it is comparable in size to a wristwatch. The device is able to analyze not only venous and arterial blood, but also capillary blood (it is responsible for nourishing the cells of the body and skin). The analyzer determines the state of microcirculation and body blood temperature.

The device will help to identify in the early stages serious diseases associated with impaired blood flow, which, if untreated, can lead to complications (for example, ulcers). The device will also be effective in identifying problems with the mechanics of joints – for example, if they pinch blood vessels and thus disrupt blood microcirculation. The device will record if changes in blood flow occur in the morning, afternoon or evening.

A portable blood analyzer can be used both in hospitals and clinics, and at home for self-diagnosis. The device’s laser reads the body’s indicators and displays the results on the screen of a computer or gadget connected to the device via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. It is simple and safe to use.

Soon the device “Lazma PF” will appear on the Russian market. In addition, the developer company receives a patent for its invention in Europe, the USA, the CIS, as well as in South Korea, China, and India.

In addition, the Elma and Slava technoparks are engaged in innovative medical devices and devices. The Elma resident specializes in the production of diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, including electrocardiographs (ECG), electroencephalographs (EEG), automatic defibrillators and resuscitation massagers. And in the technopark “Slava” they create sets of reagents for molecular genetic research. They also produce systems for PCR testing for coronavirus.

“We strive to support developers of innovative products and create better working conditions for them. Thus, all residents of technoparks can receive subsidies from the budget, which partially cover the cost of equipment and interest on loans. This year, seven enterprises received such subsidies; four million rubles were allocated from the city budget for support. Acceptance of applications for subsidies has been extended until October 30. And the anchor (leading) residents are provided with income tax benefits. In addition, we are creating modern, equipped sites on the territory of technoparks, ”said the head of the Moscow

Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development Alexey Fursin.

Today there are 36 technoparks in the capital. More than two thousand residents and other tenants work in them (13 of them are anchor residents). In addition, four investment priority projects are being implemented to create technology parks.

The status of a technopark resident makes it possible to use various measures of support from the Moscow Government, which allows companies, for example, to reduce the tax burden by up to 25 percent. Anchor residents can count on a reduction in the regional part of the income tax rate to 12.5 percent.

Managing companies of technoparks are provided with subsidies to reimburse part of the cost of paying interest on a loan taken for the creation or development of a property complex.
