4501 new cases of COVID-19 were registered per day.
In the capital, 994 patients with COVID-19 were admitted to hospitals over the past day, 275 people were connected to artificial lung ventilation devices. This was reported at the operational headquarters for control and monitoring of the situation with coronavirus in Moscow. The number of new cases of COVID-19 in the past week is 46 percent higher than in the previous week. Over the past week, 12 percent more patients were hospitalized than in the past.
4501 new cases of coronavirus infection were recorded per day. 43.3 percent of new cases are people aged 18 to 45 years, 29.6 percent – from 46 to 65 years old, 11.7 percent – from 66 to 79 years old, 4.5 percent – over 80 years old. Another 10.9 percent of the cases are children. All patients and people in contact with them are under medical supervision.
Hospitals for the treatment of patients with COVID-19 have opened at the Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Center and the Krylatskoye Ice Palace. The complexes are equipped with modern equipment – there are X-ray machines, ultrasound and ventilator machines, mobile and intraoperative computed tomographs. Each bed has an individual valve for supplying medical gases. The complexes also have laboratories for the study of biological material.
Muscovites over 65 and people with chronic diseases must observe a home regime and switch to telecommuting. Citizens are asked not to visit crowded places, to temporarily refuse to meet with friends and relatives who live separately.
