The project, the result of an investment that foresees the transfer of R $ 2.7 million by the Ministry of Tourism, allows the practice of night water sports in the city, whose waves are among the best in the country. The work includes the installation of LED lamps and seeks to strengthen the safety of locations, including beaches such as Vila, Itaúna and Barrinha. The Minister of Tourism, Marcelo Álvaro Antônio, praises the efforts of the Jair Bolsonaro government to improve the infrastructure of national destinations, with a view to the resumption of the travel market in the post-pandemic. “Even in the midst of the impacts of the new coronavirus, the Ministry of Tourism maintained attention to the need to improve the infrastructure conditions of national destinations. Interventions like this reinforce the natural vocation of Brazilian destinations and play a fundamental role in attracting visitors and increasing the resumption of the national travel market ”, he points out. and energy efficiency. In addition to surfing, the municipality is known for its beautiful lagoons, waterfalls and mountains. The city also boasts attractions such as the Church of Nossa Senhora de Nazareth, which displays a panoramic view of the municipality’s beaches.
