The Council of the Intercantonal Gymnasium of La Broye has appointed Ms. Sabrine De Vito-Bolla, currently dean of the Provence Gymnasium in Lausanne, as Director of the GYB. This decision follows the resignation of the current incumbent, Mr. Thierry Maire.
Born in 1972, Ms. Sabrine De Vito-Bolla holds a degree in letters from the University of Lausanne (ancient history, French and Italian) and a certificate of aptitude for secondary education I and II in history and French from the Haute Ecole Pédagogique (HEP Vaud); she is currently completing a CAS in administration and management of training institutions.
Ms. De Vito-Bolla currently holds the post of dean at the Provence Gymnasium in Lausanne where she is notably responsible for various educational projects linked to the digitization of education or the development of various training courses (recognition of training courses, implementation implementation of the recommendations of the CDIP in terms of joint assessment or basic skills). Ms. De Vito-Bolla knows the GYB very well, having first taught there from 2007 to 2010, then held, alongside Thierry Maire, the post of teaching assistant from 2010 to 2016. Ms. De’s proven teaching skills Vito Bolla, her leadership experience on several Secondary II school governing boards, her knowledge of GYB intercantonal partners as well as her dynamism and vision convinced the GYB Council to appoint her as the new director of this establishment with a unique positioning on the Valdo-Friborg scene. She will take office on December 1, 2020. The GYB Council takes advantage of this press release to send its warm and warm thanks to Mr. Thierry Maire whose expert conduct has enabled the GYB to be worn on its baptismal font, then to shine on the intercantonal scene by making the GYB in particular a pioneer institution on the road to digital education.
