A baptismal font was built near the church in the name of Saints Boris and Gleb, located on the territory of SIZO-1 of the GUFSIN of Russia in the Irkutsk region. The first to plunge into the font were four teenagers under arrest and two convicts serving sentences in the household service unit.

The baptism ceremony was conducted by Archpriest Yevgeny Startsev, who is in charge of SIZO-1. After a three-time immersion, the accused and convicted were put on crosses. The sacrament of chrismation was performed in the church itself. Archpriest Evgeny Startsev congratulated those who were baptized on the beginning of their spiritual life and gave instructions. The ceremony was also attended by the head of SIZO-1 Igor Mokeev and employees of the institution.

Recall that the temple in the name of Saints Boris and Gleb was consecrated on November 30, 2019 by Metropolitan of Irkutsk and Angarsk Vadim. The construction of the temple began in 2008, in 2015 the first prayer service to Saints Boris and Gleb was held in the temple. It is also planned to install a belfry on the territory near the temple. Services in the temple are held every week, convicts and those under investigation can visit it at will during their daily walks.
