On October 8, a working group was created at the EMERCOM of Russia on the application and development of robotic systems and unmanned aircraft systems. The main task is to develop capacity and improve the efficiency of emergency response through the use of various robotic systems. The corresponding order was signed by the head of the Russian Emergencies Ministry Evgeny Zinichev.

The working group was headed by First Deputy Minister Alexander Chupriyan. It consisted of specialists in the field of robotics and unmanned aviation of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia, the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Advanced Research Fund, the Central Research Institute of RTK, the Skolkovo Foundation, Sberbank, as well as leading scientific and educational organizations.

The development of robotics is one of the priority tasks of the Ministry. Already now it is actively used in the elimination of emergencies and in carrying out special work, such as demining and inspection of underwater objects.
