The virtual simulator will help schoolchildren to pass a mock exam and assess their knowledge, teachers – to identify problematic topics in the classroom and strengthen training on them. And the voice assistant will tell you the lesson schedule and homework.

New services for teachers and students have appeared in the Moscow Electronic School (MES). The online platform was integrated with the Yandex.Tutor virtual simulator and the Alice voice assistant.

“We are constantly engaging developers of educational services to replenish the MES virtual library. In the catalog you can find educational materials from, Skyeng, Russian Textbook and other platforms. Now teachers of Moscow schools can attach tests of the virtual simulator “Yandex.Tutor” to their digital homework assignments. And the voice assistant “Alisa” will help schoolchildren and their parents find out in “MES” the schedule of lessons, grades and home assignments, ”the press service of the Moscow Department of Education said.

Yandex.Tutor is a service that allows students to independently prepare for a single and basic state exams and all-Russian tests. The assignments are similar to those used in real exams. Thousands of training tasks and answers to them with analysis of the material are available for each subject. With the help of an online simulator, schoolchildren can not only test their knowledge of a particular subject, but also eliminate the gaps using reference information.

To send students the materials of the service, the teacher only needs to attach them to the homework in the MES system. At the same time, the service allows you to select specific students for whom the task is intended, as well as indicate the deadline for its completion. The system automatically sets the date for checking the work in accordance with the next lesson on the schedule, or the teacher changes it at will.

Completed student assignments are stored in the “Journal” section. To view them, the teacher needs to select the date when the students were to submit the work, and click on the “Go to results” button. All the information the teacher needs is posted here: the list of class students, the status of passing the tests (completed or not), and the percentage of correctly solved tasks. At the same time, the teacher will find out the time that the child spent on work, and will also see which questions he gave the correct answer to which – the wrong one. This will help you adjust the curriculum so that you can work through the unexamined material with the class.

In the personal account of schoolchildren, the teacher’s tasks are displayed in the “Homework” section of the electronic diary. Here you will find the name of the item, the date of inspection, attached reference materials and tests. Pupils and their parents see the status of assignments: “checked”, “completed” or “not started”. At the same time, the number of attempts to perform work on the electronic platform is unlimited, the system will show the results of each of them.

For more information on how to create and complete digital homework assignments with tests – in the instructions of the MES library.

Another innovation in the Moscow Electronic School is the integration of the MES Diary mobile application with the Alice voice assistant. This service recognizes the user’s natural speech and simulates live dialogue. He finds answers to the interlocutor’s questions, using information from the Web. The robot, integrated into the “MES Diary” “, will prompt the school schedule, tell about the grades in a particular subject, and also specify if there is homework for a certain day.

To link the voice assistant to your electronic diary, you need to open any of the services in which Alice is built in, for example, the Yandex.Maps or Yandex Browser applications. Then you need to tell the voice assistant: “Start the“ MESh Diary ”skill. “Alice” will offer to get an authorization code to enter, and the student should say the word “enter”.

Next, the robot will say a six-digit code. The user needs to go to the “Settings” section of the electronic diary, click on the “Access code” and enter the named numbers. This is how Alice integrates with the MES Diary. Detailed instructions for connecting a voice assistant to a digital diary also available in the MES library.

You can download the “Mesh Diary” mobile application in the App Store or Google Play. This can only be done by users registered on the portal. To enter the application, you just need to enter your portal account data. Authorization is also available by phone number.

Moscow Electronic School is a project for teachers, students and their parents, which helps to create a high-tech educational environment in the schools of the capital. It was developed by the Moscow Department of Education and Science together with the City Department of Information Technologies. This fall, the “Moscow Electronic School” turns four years old, during which time it has become an integral part of the city education system.

Students can spend their free time usefully watching educational online lectures, seminars and taking part in virtual master classes on the websites of educational organizations. For high school students in the “MES” all materials are available that will help them prepare for the exam on their own.
