Now you can enter the diary from your tablet, authorize by SMS, view the schedule in compact mode, customize the screen color and the time of push notifications about grades and homework.
In the mobile application “Mesh Diary” was released a number of updates… This makes it more user-friendly. Now the application is available for tablets, you can log in via your phone. Students and parents can choose how the color theme is displayed, how the timetable is displayed, and when to receive push notifications for tomorrow’s grades and homework.
During training, modern students experience great visual stress. The ability to enter the Mesh Diary application from mobile devices with a larger screen than a smartphone significantly reduces them. At the same time, tablets are much more compact than computers or laptops, which allows them to be used not only at home.
It also reduces eye strain by being able to select a special “Dark Theme” feature in the app. In low light conditions, dark backgrounds are much less harmful to your eyesight than standard white. In addition, this design is visually attractive and popular with teenagers. Also, in the “Dark theme” mode, mobile devices use 15-30 percent less energy and last longer without recharging.
Parents and students can now log in to the application not only using the data of the mos.ru personal account, but also by phone number. When authorizing in this way, the user first enters the mobile phone number, and then the code received via SMS. The option is available to students if the child’s phone number is specified and confirmed in the mos.ru profile.
The updated application offers two options for displaying the schedule: standard and compact. When choosing a compact display on the screen, you can simultaneously see information about the subject, the time of the lesson and the room number, as well as the grades for the subjects (the data is placed inside the schedule). In the standard mode, the surname, name and patronymic of the teacher and the duration of the breaks between lessons are added.
Another new feature is the ability to set up push notifications for tomorrow’s grades and homework. If earlier notifications were received daily at 18:00, now parents can configure their receipt at any convenient time with an accuracy of the minute. To do this, go to the “Settings” section, click the “Subscriptions” button and go to “Notifications”. At the appointed time, your mobile device will remind you of your homework and grades for the day.
The MES Diary mobile application is one of the key services of the Moscow Electronic School project, developed by Department of Education and Science of Moscow together with Department of Information Technology… The application has complete information about the time of classes and rest, the schedule of lessons, data on progress, upcoming tests, homework, including comments from teachers.
With the help of the Mesh Diary application, which is connected to the Pass and Meals subsystem, you can monitor the child’s attendance, replenish his personal account and keep track of spending and purchases in the buffet. Also, each parent has the opportunity in just a couple of minutes to generate a notification in the system about the child’s absence from lessons or set up a subscription to receive push notifications in order to find out about current grades and homework for tomorrow’s subjects.
This fall, the “Moscow Electronic School” turns four years old, during which time it has become an integral part of the city education system.
