Veteran of the Navy and TsVMM Rear Admiral Kirill Tulin, Chairman of the Council of the St. branches of the All-Russian children’s and youth social movement Yunarmiya Igor Korovin and head of the ship fund of the CVMM captain 1st rank Evgeny Mulgin.
At the end of the ceremony, the director of the Central Naval Museum named after Emperor Peter the Great Ruslan Nekhai warmly congratulated the seven employees of the TsVMM and its branches, who had served as ship commanders before being retired. A pleasant gift for them was the performance of their favorite songs on the marine theme by the sailor vocal group “Breeze” of the Joint Training Center for Management of the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Igor Volodko.
Further, the guests of the ceremony were invited to a tour of the new exhibition, which, in order to create a comprehensive image of the commander of a ship of the Russian fleet, appeared in the form of a kind of Maritime Museum in miniature. Its exposition adjoins a gallery of portraits of prominent ship commanders, starting with Peter I, executed by such famous painters as I.K. Aivazovsky, A.P. Bogolyubov and V.L. Borovikovsky, graphic works, models of surface ships, submarines and aircraft, personal weapons, uniforms, photographs, documents and much more.
