Representatives of social entrepreneurship and businesses related to the sports industry will be able to take free training and take their projects to a new level.

Applications for participation in two accelerators for entrepreneurs representing social projects and sports business have been extended until October 16.

“Health and fitness activities and sports are among the sectors recognized by the Russian government as the most affected by the pandemic. Social entrepreneurship is also one of the vulnerable categories of business. In this regard, it was decided to extend the acceptance of applications in order to provide an additional opportunity for everyone to join the accelerators and gain practical knowledge and skills to take their projects to a new level, ”said Alexey Fursin, head of the Moscow Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development.

The social projects accelerator is designed to help businesses that solve socially significant problems. The program was first organized last year.

“The participation was very beneficial for us: under the guidance of trackers, we ‘repackaged’ our product, and as a result, the business grew by 60 percent. In addition, we managed to find like-minded people and partners, ”said Ekaterina Matyushenko, a participant of the past accelerator of social projects.

The sports business accelerator is aimed at the intensive development of fitness clubs, yoga studios, rope parks and other enterprises from this field. This year it will be held for the first time.

Participants in both programs will set weekly goals for improving the business performance of their projects and regularly discuss the achieved results and emerging problems with trackers. Entrepreneurs will learn how to use business management tools that are already applied in practice by successful companies around the world, as well as make decisions in the face of uncertainty.

At the end of each accelerator, a demo day will take place, where graduates will present their business projects to potential investors, receive feedback from experts and organizers.

Organizations and individual entrepreneurs registered in Moscow can take part in the accelerators. Potential participants will also have to go through an interview with an expert and take part in an online intensive, where they can learn about the specifics of working in an accelerator and receive recommendations on preparing a presentation of a business project for successful passage into the main program. After that, experts will select 50 participants for the accelerator.
