Muscovites have applied for planting 5044 seedlings this fall within the framework of the Our Tree project. Named plants will appear in 26 park areas of the capital.
This year, young parents chose linden most often: 2,177 trees were booked for planting. Maple (822 trees), pine (718 trees) and willow (617 trees) have become popular. Most often, the project participants wanted to plant a plant in the Bitsevsky Forest Natural and Historical Park and in the Izmailovsky Park. Each of them will contain more than 600 trees of different species.

Thanks to him, every Muscovite can especially celebrate the most significant and happiest event in the life of any family – the birth of a child and plant a tree in honor of the baby. Last year, at the request of the townspeople, we planted two thousand trees, this year we received 2.5 times more applications. Therefore, it was decided to plant such named trees twice a year: in spring and autumn. Parks in the capital have already prepared places with a reserve – for more than 20 thousand trees, “- said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for housing and communal services and landscaping.
“Our tree” Is a socially significant project of landscaping Moscow, which appeared in the spring of 2019. It is aimed at improving the ecological situation and preserving family values.
Moscow families in which children were born after January 1, 2019 can plant a tree in the park in honor of the child’s birth. You need to submit an application before the baby turns three years old.
To do this, go to project page on mos.ru, choose a park, site and wood species on the interactive map, and fill out an electronic application. Within seven working days, the application will be reviewed and a response will be sent with approval or rejection.
Participants receive notifications 10 working days before the drop-off date, and reminders three days before the drop-off date. They indicate the exact date, time and place of planting the family tree. Experts help with planting a seedling, provide the necessary equipment.
Then young parents receive an electronic certificate of a named tree with its exact coordinates. The seedlings are constantly monitored. If the tree is damaged, it will be replaced in the coming spring or fall.
Last fall, as part of the Our Tree project, 2,376 trees were planted in 27 parks. Acceptance of applications for 2021 began on July 1 and will run until December 31. Places have been prepared for planting 20,075 trees in 23 parks. 631 plants have already been booked.
