During the autumn holidays, Moscow teachers will be able to test their teaching skills. It will help to identify strengths and weaknesses, as well as receive recommendations for further professional development. free intensive “I am a teacher”, Which started on October 5 and is being held for the second time. It is expected that about 200 thousand teachers from all over the country will participate in the all-Russian educational project.

During the intensive, teachers will, among other things, be able to test their IT competencies, as well as assess the ability to develop functional literacy in children. Leading experts, including from the Moscow City Pedagogical University, took part in creating the tests.

The recommendations for the development of professional skills will include teaching materials, articles, webinars and courses developed along thematic lines. Teachers will receive not only recommendations, but also a systematic learning cycle. Based on the results of the intensive, free online courses will be available throughout the fall (“Functional literacy: developing at school”, “Basic digital competencies of a teacher”, “Emotional burnout in a teacher” and others). After passing them, teachers will be able to receive certificates of professional development.

The previous diagnostics of teachers’ competences took place in March this year: more than 100 thousand teachers from all over the country took part in it, including over 14 thousand education specialists from Moscow schools.

The professional skills that could be tested within the framework of the March intensive remained in the October diagnostics. A teacher who has already participated in the test will be able to take it again and see his own dynamics.

The educational intensive will be held every six months. In their work, the project organizers are guided by the needs of teachers.

The system of Moscow education employs almost 100 thousand teachers who are directly involved in the educational process. Among them are teachers, educators, teachers and masters of industrial training and teachers of additional education.
