In Stavropol, a solemn ceremony was held to hand over the standard to the commander of the 49th combined arms army of the Southern Military District (YuVO), Major General Yakov Rezantsev, who replaced Major General Mikhail Zusko in this post.

Major General Yakov Vladimirovich Rezantsev was born in 1973 in the Altai Territory. In 1994, he graduated with a gold medal from the Far Eastern Higher Combined Arms Command School named after Marshal of the Soviet Union K.K. Rokossovsky, in 2002 – the Combined Arms Academy of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation with honors. In 2008 he graduated from the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation with a gold medal. Passed major command positions from platoon commander to army commander. Has a large number of state and departmental awards.
