REGIONALIZATIONMeeting brought together six tourist bodies from the state of Minas Gerais to improve communication, integration and dialogue

On Tuesday (06.10), the Ministry of Tourism held the 10th meeting of the Tourism Regionalization Program (PRT + Integrated). The agenda included topics such as access to credit, areas for attracting investments, territorial planning and ordering, mobility and connectivity, in addition to the use of public domain assets and the infrastructure of products in the sector. In all, representatives of six instances of Governance of the State of Minas Gerais participated in the meeting. The national secretary of Attraction of Investments, Partnerships and Concessions, Lucas Fiuza, stressed the need for meetings like this for the integration of the regions for the sector’s resumption . “Our objective is precisely to improve our communication with these instances and integrate them so that, together, they can be a key point for the resumption of tourism, which is already in force”, he said. In partnership with the states, the PRT enables destinations receive MTur actions, including infrastructure works, incentive to events that generate tourist flow, promotion and marketing, qualification courses, attraction of investments and financing of public and private projects by Fungetur and Prodetur + Turismo. The PRT has the Brazilian Tourism Map as a tool to work on regional development, which undergoes a biennial update and includes the municipalities that integrate the tourist regions defined by the states to strengthen regional activity and development. The general coordinator of Strategic Areas for Tourism Development, Ana Carla Moura, stressed the importance of action in favor of regionalizing tourism across the country. “They are the ones who inform what the Ministry offers for the country’s tourism development, and it has worked. We have reaped good results, ”he said. PRT + INTEGRATED – Launched in 2004, the Tourism Regionalization Program is the result of a decentralized and shared planning process. It is a structuring program of the Ministry of Tourism, which works on the convergence and interaction of all actions performed by MTur with Brazilian states and municipalities. Its main objective is to support the structuring of destinations, management and promotion of tourism in the country, based on eight structuring axes aimed at promoting regional development.
