On October 7, under the chairmanship of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation A.A. Pankin, a round table meeting was held on the topic “CSTO: landmarks for strategic development”, timed to coincide with the CSTO Foundation Day.

The event was attended by representatives of the CSTO member states, as well as the CSTO Secretariat, the Secretariat of the Parliamentary Assembly and the CSTO Joint Staff.

A.A. Pankin voiced the appeal of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation S.V. Lavrov to the participants of the round table, in which, in particular, it was noted that this is a good opportunity for an informal, interested exchange of views on a wide range of issues related to the role, places and prospects of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

A lively discussion took place regarding the state and prospects for the development of allied ties in all areas of interaction within the Organization, including foreign policy, military and military-technical cooperation, and joint counteraction to new challenges and threats.
