Teachers of evening school No. 2, located in correctional colony No. 2 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Republic of Adygea, as well as their colleagues, celebrate Teacher’s Day. The difference in the age of teachers working in the evening school is half a century.
Generations of teachers stand in front of the blackboard, not paying attention to articles and terms of imprisonment, helping their over-aged students to learn about the world – after all, “strict regime” teachers are true to the motto “Burn yourself and ignite others!”.
Since 2003, the secondary evening school No. 2, subordinate to the Ministry of Education and Science of Adygea, is the main educational institution in which convicts of the republic’s correctional colonies study.
Today, 137 students sentenced to imprisonment “sit” at their desks in classrooms – in a school located in Colony No. 2 and its branches – in Colony No. 1 and Colony in Settlement No. 3. Near the blackboard of classrooms of evening school No. 10 teachers work daily.
Each teacher is sure that not only the education of an over-aged student depends on his work, but also his cultural enlightenment.
On behalf of the leadership of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Republic of Adygea, the employees thanked the teachers for their hard work and presented the republican administration with certificates of honor.
