Servicemen of the 2nd Combined Arms Guards Army of the Central Military District (TsVO) for the first time worked out the combined use of missile forces, cannon and rocket artillery, using electronic warfare (EW) calculations during the exercise, which ended today at the Donguz training ground in the Orenburg region.

During the live-fire exercise, for the first time, the parallel use of electronic warfare systems was tested – the Svet-KU and Leer-3 complexes, which carried out reconnaissance of the electronic situation, as well as the Strelets control and communications reconnaissance complex for continuous target designation. This decision made it possible to centralize the control of all means of reconnaissance, electronic warfare and fire destruction in real time and to reduce the time for making a decision by the command staff of the group of forces.

The exercise on controlling the strikes of missile forces and artillery fire using electronic warfare means was held under the leadership of the commander of the Central Military District, Colonel-General Alexander Lapin.

In total, more than a thousand servicemen were involved in the exercise, as well as over 300 pieces of weapons and special military equipment.
