The Solikamsk City Prosecutor’s Office of the Perm Territory carried out an inquiry on the appeal of a 91-year-old local resident about an unjustified refusal to provide state support measures.

It was established that the elderly man has the status of a veteran – participant of the Great Patriotic War, since he took part in a military operation to defend the Fatherland during the liquidation of fascist formations on the territory of the Soviet socialist republics: Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania, Latvia in the period from 1950 to 1951.

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation in connection with the 75th anniversary of Victory, veterans of the Great Patriotic War must be paid a one-time payment of 75 thousand rubles.

However, the officials refused to grant the applicant social benefits, arguing that he had no direct relation to the events that took place during the Great Patriotic War of 1945-1945.

In order to restore the violated rights of the veteran, the Solikamsk city prosecutor filed a lawsuit against the Pension Fund in the city of Solikamsk, Perm Territory.

The courts found the prosecutor’s demands justified.

Thanks to the intervention of the prosecutor’s office, the veteran was credited and made a due payment in the amount of 75 thousand rubles.
