At present, heat is supplied to 34 thousand houses and 8.7 thousand social facilities.

Heating is included in all residential buildings and social institutions of the capital. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Improvement Petr Biryukov.

He noted that in 2020, on behalf of the Mayor of Moscow, the heating season started earlier. This is due to the introduction of a self-isolation regime for elderly citizens and the transfer of some of the working Muscovites to remote work.

“At present, heat is supplied to all residential buildings, of which there are about 34 thousand, and social facilities – 8.7 thousand. Measures are underway to turn on heating in office centers, trade and industrial enterprises, this is done at the request of the consumers themselves, ”said Pyotr Biryukov.

City services adjust the heat supply and regulate all systems depending on the air temperature.

Pyotr Biryukov recalled that this year the preparation of heating networks and heat generation facilities was carried out in a short time. Instead of the usual 4.5 months, all events were held in two months.

“Only on July 5, hot water shutdowns and preventive measures on the networks began, and on September 1, all facilities were ready for operation in the autumn-winter period,” the head of the municipal services complex emphasized.

In preparation for the new heating season, hundreds of kilometers of networks were moved. During hydraulic tests, about 11 thousand faults on heating lines were discovered and eliminated.

“The measures taken will allow us to carry out the autumn-winter period in a quality manner, as in previous years, and prevent emergency situations. The city has a system for reserving heat supply, 98 percent of the objects have such a reserve, ”said Pyotr Biryukov.
