During the celebrations dedicated to the Day of the Ground Forces, held on October 3 in the Patriot Military-Patriotic Park of Culture and Leisure of the RF Armed Forces, the creative team of the Frunze Central House of the Russian Army (TsDRA) performed with a large concert program.

On this fine October day, on the territory of the “Memory Road” museum complex near the Main Church of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, it was very crowded: the participants and guests of the celebrations were awaited by a rich festive program dedicated to the 470th anniversary of the Ground Forces, in which the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation took part – Head of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the RF Armed Forces, Colonel-General Andrei Kartapolov. The culmination of the program was a concert of artists from the Central House of Arts – a creative team led by Dmitry Sushkin.

Numerous spectators, servicemen, members of their families, veterans of the Armed Forces, cadets of military universities, Muscovites and guests of the capital, were able to appreciate the concert program of the ensemble, which included works in the spirit that fully correspond to the atmosphere of the holiday. Compositions dedicated to Russia, state symbols, glorifying the courage and bravery of soldiers, both during the Great Patriotic War and in today’s military days, were played.

Thus, the concert was opened by the song “Army of Russia” (lyrics and music by N. Petrov), which was performed by all the soloists of the creative team. Next, the duet of Alexander Shabalin and Alexander Khamuev presented the popular wartime song “Two Maxims” (words by V. Dykhovichny, music by S. Kats). The sparkling composition “Young Officer” (from the repertoire of the “Nestrelki” group), which was already performed by the female duet of Elizaveta Shishina and Juliet Mineeva, also evoked a lively response from the audience.

Alexei Zubarev’s speech was greeted with warm applause: still, he, as always, solemnly and enthusiastically sang the “Anthem of the Ground Forces”. He masterfully expressed the deep meaning of Denis Maidanov’s song “Hero”. On a high note, the concert was completed by Oleg Gazmanov’s fiery composition “Forward, Russia!”, Which was performed by all the soloists of the ensemble.

At the end of the concert, the head of the creative team Dmitry Sushkin was presented with a letter of thanks from the organizers of the festive celebrations.
