China will continue to see rains and dampness in its western regions, while cold air will affect northern parts of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the national observatory forecast on Tuesday.
For the next three days, moderate rain is expected to hit eastern parts of northwest China and most parts of southwest China, while parts of Tibet, Yunnan and southern coastal regions will experience downpours, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) said.
Another round of cold air will chill northern parts of Xinjiang from Tuesday to Wednesday, with some areas expecting a temperature plunge of over 10 degrees Celsius, the NMC said.
The NMC said rain and snow are expected to hit parts of Xinjiang, while certain mountain areas will experience blizzards.
The center also advised people to take precautions against Typhoon Chan-hom, the 14th this year, which is expected to bring gales to parts of the East China Sea starting Wednesday.
