For nine months of this year, supplier portal carried out 327.1 thousand purchases with a total volume of 37.7 billion rubles, which is 43 percent more than the number of transactions in the same period last year. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Efimov.

“Since the beginning of the year, 327.1 thousand purchases have been carried out on the portal, which is 43 percent more than in January-September last year. At the same time, the total volume of transactions in monetary terms has significantly increased, which, taking into account the regions working through integration in terms of the exchange of purchases, has already amounted to 37.7 billion rubles. This is almost double the total contract volume for nine months of 2019. Then the volume of purchases amounted to 19.2 billion rubles “, – said the vice mayor.

According to him, this resource is already being used in 36 regions of Russia. Since the beginning of the year, about 40 percent of purchases were made by regional customers. These are 132.5 thousand purchases worth 11.3 billion rubles.

The leaders in terms of the amount and number of contracts among regional customers were the Moscow Region (5.8 billion rubles), the Perm Territory (2.3 billion rubles), St. Petersburg (1.2 billion rubles), the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District (491.4 million rubles), the Kemerovo and Novgorod regions (468.3 and 364.1 million rubles, respectively), as well as the Krasnodar Territory (278.1 million rubles). The strong demand this year was for medical and construction products, as well as for maintenance and repair services.

As the head of the capital Competition Policy Department Ivan Shcherbakov, recovery and growth of entrepreneurial activity became especially noticeable in the second half of 2020.

“In the second quarter of this year, 92.5 thousand purchases worth 9.7 billion rubles were made on the portal, and from July to September, inclusive, 137 thousand purchases worth 13.2 billion rubles. This is almost 42 percent of the total number of transactions published on the portal since the beginning of 2020, ”he said.

The head of the department added that since the beginning of the year, the number of suppliers on the portal has increased by 22 percent. In the nine months of 2020, the number of suppliers increased by 35 thousand, of which 18.8 thousand (about 54 percent of the total increase) are regional suppliers. It is important that 90 percent of the portal’s active users are representatives of small and medium-sized businesses.

The Supplier Portal was created in 2013 to automate low volume procurement procedures. Now more than 194 thousand suppliers work with the Internet resource, 40 percent of them are regional entrepreneurs. Every day more than a thousand contracts are concluded on the portal, and the catalog of unique goods, works and services contains over 777 thousand items.
