The commander of the Pacific Fleet, Admiral Sergei Avakyants, sent a congratulatory letter to the head of the closed administrative territorial unit (ZATO) of the city of Fokino of the Primorsky Territory, Alexander Baranov, in which he congratulated him and the residents of the city on the 40th anniversary of the formation of the ZATO.

The memorable address says that the history of the creation of the ZATO was determined by the history of the development of the Pacific Fleet. The name itself, received by the city, is saturated with a sea soul and is associated with the name of the former commander of the Pacific Fleet, Admiral Vitaly Alekseevich Fokin.

From the moment of its formation to the present, Fokino continues to be a naval base for ships and forces of the Pacific Fleet. Here, on the shores of the Pacific Ocean, more than one generation of Pacific sailors grew up, who became commanders and admirals. The residents of Fokino also make their significant labor contribution to strengthening the combat readiness of the fleet.

The commander of the fleet wished the residents of the city-anniversary of the future success in their work, happiness, health and prosperity.
